The situation
A strategist selling to founders of service firms: senior, busy, and approached by someone new most days. Cold outreach on its own was always going to be slow.
What we did
- Cold campaigns with strict message rules: banned phrases, a sentence limit, and nothing describing her work the wrong way.
- A warm check-in to existing connections who fitted her ideal client.
What happened
- 75 of 855 existing connections replied to the warm check-in, 8.8%, against 1.8% cold.
- The clearest case for working the network you already have before buying new names.
A reply is any reply after the first message, including “no thanks”. No figure here counts booked calls. How we count
